Come join us at the South Suburban Humane Society's Chicago Heights location for our first series of dog training classes!
We will be learning the basics of dog training and communication such as sit, stay, down, come when called, and leash walking. We will also learn how to address unwanted behaviors like jumping, potty training, barking, and mouthing.
Our goal in class is to help you have the best relationship with your canine companion possible, and build in a positive way on existing relationships while having fun doing so. We look forward to seeing you in class!
Meet the Trainer:
Amy grew up the daughter of a veterinarian so her love of animals and especially dog training came early. She started as a vet tech assisting in her Dad's practice at the age of 13 and training dogs well before that.
She believes in the power of positive training as well as taking the time to learn what our dogs are trying to communicate with us with their actions. Education and outreach are a passion for her in the hopes that understanding will form a tighter bond between dogs and their families.
Amy shares her home with her loving family, four rescue dogs, three rescue cats, and various small animals and reptiles that find their way to get home.
